I am going to be installed a Python 880XP Responder (same as Viper 790XV) into a 2001 chevy monte carlo. For the parking lights, my chart says I can either get them as negative trigger at the BCM if I isolate them, or as positive trigger at the light switch. Any suggestions on which one to use? Is it really possible to have negative and positive triggers at different points on the light circuit? Any help would be cool.

Use brown, positive trigger, at the switch. That whole "negative at the BCM but must isolate with a relay" doesn't sound like much fun to me.
DEI instructs not to use positive parking lights, but sometimes they seem to make everything harder than it has to be. Plus, the offer no reason for this warning. We've got hundreds of Impalas and Monte Carlos with positive lights; no trouble.

Thanks for your help. It's hard enough getting to any wires in the BCM, let alone isolating them. I was hoping I could do it at the switch. Thanks again!
