without knowing where you grabbed your lights from it sounds like you are not disarming the remote starter. I am guessing that you do not have power door locks hooked up through the starter. so therefore you never think of pressing the unlock button on the remote since it is not hooked up to your locks. well what you need to do is press unlock and your lights should flash and then start your car and all should be good. basically if you never press the lock button again then you need not worry about disarming again but if the lights start flashing when you start the car(with the key) just turn off the car and hit unlock then all is good again.

It sounds like the siren has failed and you are starting the car with the alarm on! Just do as previous post suggested.
