Hello,
I bought a 2000 Olds Bravada with the Code Alarm 645 installed, This vehicle is used mainly to pull a boat so it may be a week before it gets started. I have come out many times to find the vehicle battery almost dead, with the alarm clicking away but not enough power to operate the siren.
A few questions:
1)When battery voltage gets too low, will the alarm go into alarm mode?
2) What parasitic draw should I expect as "normal" with the alarm installed? (I measure over 1 Amp with alarm fuses inplace, and around 25 mA with both 30A alarm fuses removed) At 1A it is no surprise that it kills the battery.
3) If I unplug the alarm the vehicle starts but dies just after it starts up. How can I bypass the alarm short term to see if the alarm is to blame.
I assume that this is the passlock now needing something reconnected / installed? I just need the car to operate normally. When the alarm is installed is something cut that needs to be re connected?
4)When should the OEM the "security" light flash? with a CA 645 installed?
I see that the security / passlock indicator sometimes flashes long after the car has been closed and locked and sometimes won't flash after the vehicle has been turned off. Something inconsistent happening here?

need some help?
OK, if i remove the existing alarm, what do I have to do to re-enable the factory passlock?
right now with alarm fuses removed the engine won't run right after it starts while cranking. Is this the passlock disabling the fuel?
I would like to fix this but I need some help from the experienced?
