Did a Compustar remote start on a 2008 Ford F350 Diesel.I could not get a tach or alternator signal. What ever i did,the truck started ran for about 5 sec and then shut down. This truck has a factory immobilizer and i did use a bypass module for that.
Any help on a wire color and location for a tach signal will be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

blue pigtail in the bundle behind the fuse panel. It works on viper which means it will work on anything.

if it started and ran for a few seconds and then shut off it might be that the immobilizer isnt working to. check this by putting an ignition key that you know starts the truck in the ignition but dont turn the ignition then remote start it. if it starts and stays running its your immobilizer

Did Claudio get this truck running? he said it showed up in Langley today.

It's not immobilzer or it would just crank and not start and the theft light would flash instead of come on solid and go out.

Thanks to all you guys for all the info.It was a defective control module so it couldnt pick a signal and yes the tach wire is dark blue above driver kick panel.
