Does anyone know how much power is drawn from the horn? I don't know if the horn wire is using a relay or not. It might even be a simple latch. Just wondering if anyone knows what the amperage might be. The "Panic" uses a 400mA ground.

A single horn draws about 10amps, airhorns 20, most Japanese cars use a relay and the feed at the steering column is a low current neg.(Check) Thus relay not required.

PS Sorry your vehicle is a Ford Mondeo, it used pos supply from switch, no relay but the fuse would have a "horn" icon, check that, it would be the consumption.

Yes, but what is the amperage at that point when you honk the horn?
Thanks for everyone's input

put your current meter inline with the positive going to the car horn and honk it..this will give exact measurment.
