Hi all
I have a carbon fiber hood I want to use,
I will be moving over my factory latch to lock it.
But I'm supposed to use hood pics too because it's so light and if it catches air it could open up (granted it's a very small chance)
But I don't want to use ugly hood pins

are they any good hood locks you guys can recommend?
I've seen one by "the club" brand
and one by wolo, but noth look skimy

another idea is that I use a pull/pull cable (or electric solenoid) that will push/pull a steel pin into a plate
(I'll attach an upside down "L" shaped plate on the hood)
and the pin would slide into a hole in it and keep the hood from opening.....

not sure where I can get a solenoid like that...

thanks

You must use hood pins with any CF hood.. I have seen way too many CF hoods rip off due to lack of hood pins..

If you are luckly it rips all the way off. If you are unlucky it stays attached at the hinges and blocks your windshield.
