2003 Grand Prix

Door lock and unlock functions work as they should, door sensors work as they should.

When in passive arm mode the system arms itself like it should but it doesn't lock the doors. I've tried every program setting I can think of and this thing is driving me crazy.

Oddly, I have turned on the re-lock function and if you unlock the doors (disarm system) via the remote and just leave it the system does re-lock the doors on the re-arm.

What am I missing here??

you don't have the option to do passive lock, I guess to prevent you from accidentily locking your keys in the vehicle.

Thanks. I called Autostart and they confirmed this. Kind of odd if you ask me. Why offer passive arming if it won't lock the doors?

The other strange thing is that the alarm re-arms if you disarm, hop in and start the car but don't touch the brake pedal for 30 seconds.

The only solution is to put it in active arming mode. I wish these things were mentioned in the manuals. I wouldn't have installed this one if I had known about them.
