Either install battery backup or batterybackup siren.

Get positive at the battery and tie wrap the crud out of it so it's hard to cut from underneath. Also make sure the negative battery terminal is somewhat protected from the bottom.

I freakin hate how the auto industry lets the battery sit out in the open like they do.

   Good luck.

i would reccommend DEI product like Viper. I believe Crutchfield are over price, but i might me wrong. beside a viper 500esp or 600esp cost around 100 bucks on EBAY and backup batt is about 20 bucks. you do the math.

Hi there, I agree crutchfield are a little over priced.  I am using a DEI Rattler 300, but  I do not like the product.  Only 1 week after buying my alarm the remote stopped working.  And it was the remote that I never used outside ( not covered by warranty).  In the past I always used Alpine.  Never had a problem, and had many unsucessful people try to break into my cars.

Thanks for the responses guys.  I have a few questions about viper alarms....  Where is the best place to order one off the net?  How are the installs?  I know Crutchfield is awesome about giving you great directions and teach support, how are the directions on the viper alarm?  I hope to order this thing this week and install it in the next few weekends.  How much install time do you all estimate?

Thanks again
