Thanks for advance for reviewing this topic. Ive done alot of research up to this point.

I have a cadi 06 cts with the pk3+ immobilzer system and ob2-can. It has heated seats, Nav,RDS, xm, 2 driver positions, etc What I want to do is install a 2way remote starter with alarm/door lock features.I have installed several remote start sytems in the past with fairly ease, but looking for more input before i get started. Looked over several sites and it seems the xk01/xk06 is the way I want to go over the gmbpdl /gm-sl2.

Questions I have, is this the easiest bypass to use for this car? I want the fewest connections possible to retain the factory wiring. Is there a site that can tell me all of the available starters that have the D2D data port compatibile with the xk01? I know it only saves me a few connections, but might as well go that route if I can.

I need the longest range starter unit, as the car needs to be started from a 10 story building. I currently have a bulldog deluxe 500 2way in my other car that easily covers that distance and havent had any problems with that unit ever. I just need a newer unit with more secure features in it and anti-grind. looked at possibly the cs2900II fm from crime stopper w,D2D output.

also plan on installing a bluetooth kit at some point, if that might play into things.

Any opionions would be greatly appreciated

you accually only have PK3 not the PK3+, XK01 will do bypass and locks on your car, you don't need the xk06 for bypass.

Both keys have pk3+ printed on the shaft.   I have seen sites that state I need both modules to get the system to work correctly.

Is there a site to enter my vin to positively verify this for sure???

Thanks

Also, the xk01 says I need to cut/splice a passkey wire for pk3 systems. I have no intentions on doing that. Id rather leave a blank key in the car first and use the gmbpdl unit.  With the xk06 -pk3+ systems if I remember correctly.

any way to verify this? This is where I need the most help as I dont know for sure either way as there is so much contradicting info on this car year. I want to make sure I cover all the bases so i have a clean and efficent install process.

Thanks again

GMDL-BP covers the door locks and PK3 bypass. It specifically lists your 06 CTS with no need to cut any wires. Simply ties into OBDII pin 2.

And, referencing your original post...your car has built in anti-grind.

Thanks for the factory anti grind info. I wasnt aware of that.

The problem I face here is that the listings for this vehicle state coverage for pk3 systems with the xk01 and gmbpdl. My key says pk3+ which I dont believe is covered by the bypasses listed above. Which means I might need another bypass for the pk3+ immobilzer. Or is the fact these bypasses also cover passlock 1,2 and passkey3 mean it will cover the pk3+ system also? From what I understand the pk3+ is passkey 3 and pass lock combined together.

The reason Im unsure is that the xk06 bypass specifically states pk3+ coverage, while the other bypasses do not, but all sites indicate the xk01 and gmbpdl/gmsl2 should work with my vehicle. I just want to be 100% sure before I purchase the bypass kit.

I just did a 2007 Caddy SRX4 with the PK3+ system and I used the Fortin CAN-SL2 system version 1.10 and it worked like a charm. Used the Compsutar 2WFM-S-PRO for the starter and customer has control over all doors, OEM security, powered hatch open and close, heated seats on/off as well as the unit outputs your tach, hood pin and door triggers/hatch trigger. Took me about 3 hours to do this vehicle and this was the first SRX that I've done. The CAN-SL2 does both PK3+ bypass and door interface. I highly recommend this module to anyone.

believe me, the XK01 is all you need.

If you use a GM SL, the module will also turn On your heat seat when temperature is below 5 celcius (37 F) when remote sart. Also lock and unlock with driver and radio seting.
