1989 Dodge 250 Diesel

I have the system installed into the truck already and it's a 1WSH-S-PRO and here's the installation specs:

- Programmed for 9 seconds delay for starting
- currently using voltage sense - starts great above 32 F ( 0 celcius )
- installed solenoid for customer attached to trunk release output for high idle kickdown

PROBLEM: The truck will not stay running after it starts with the temp below 32 F/ 0 Celcius. I've tried to find a tach signal to no avail and I've tried the stator wire at the alternator and one wire goes to 12 volts at ignition ON and the other wire goes to 1.6 volts but only goes to 7 volts when truck is running so neither wires work for the alternator sense feature.
I know there's a tach signal coming from this truck somewhere but does anyone have a wire color and location for this ? I really don't want to have to use a tach generator as those things haven't exactly been very reliable to me in the past.

Thanks

The Astro shows (for an 89 deisel VAN) grey @ coil?

Seems way too simple, but based on your troubles............. NOT.

I don't know if this will help, more than likely something you have allready tried.

I wish you could see the page on the astrochart..... it says "on the coil".

It never occured to me about the diesel factor.

I went back as far as this astro woderchart went. 1992  Says grey/black at harness below fan. Interior, or exterior....

doesn't say?

I get the truck back on Saturday and there's suppose to be a cam sensor pick up at the front of the truck. Hope it's there and if not I 'll have to use a tach gen instead.
