Does anybody have a wiring diagram for installing a remote start in a 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP? I am installing a Viper 771XV in it. If anybody has installed an alarm in a solstice themselves, please let me know what types of problems or difficulties you ran into, or that I may run into. This car is a 5speed so I will not be installing the remote start wires, so those are not a big deal, nless the tranny happens to have a neutral safety switch built into it. I know some newer cars have a nuetral wire on 5 speeds. Thanks again for all the help guys.

Isn't that DEI unit kind of spendy? All that cash for a remote starter your not even going to use? WHY? You kind of contradict yourself in your post. I suspect you WILL be using the remote start ..... I could be wrong? 12 VOLTS | RED / black | On C3 connector at BCM | + | | | The BCM is located directly below the glovebox. Manual Transmission(MT)
clutch- NO - yellow (+)
No NSS wire. Must use proper MT RS unit or add DEI 689M.

Kartuneman,
Thats not really uncommon for ppl to get RS unit and do not use the feature. A lot of times, whatever they can get their hands on, theyll just use it. Do NOT ask me why.

You are right, the 771 is kinda spendy for not using the remote start, but I already have 2 of them from previous vehicles and I really like them and are used to their operation. I love the 2 way transmitters too. My plan is to use everything except for the remote start regardless. If there happens to be a way that I can safely use the remote start then I will. I will be installing all of the remote start wires for the simple fact that even though it will not be able to be started, I can still leave the car running without the key if needed. Plus my car has a turbo on it so I like to leave it running for cool down after I stop somewhere. I believe there may even be a turbo timer option on the 771 but I am not positive. What exactly is the 689M, I am not familiar with that unit.

I believe that unit do have turbo timer but you have to activate it after you turn off your vehicle which can be a nuisane to some ppl.
For a true turbo timer, get Compustar and its also compatible for MT vehicles.
689M is a add on unit to prevent you from leaving the shifter in gear. electronicperipheral.com also have the similar unit, if not exactly the same, to DEI's.
