I'm thinking about installing a Hornet 569T 1 button remote starter on this car, or maybe an RS that integrates with the Factory key FOB. I have heard that there is no solid 12volt signal to activate a RS that would use the factory key FOB.

If I do use the 1 button 569T will the factory key FOB still unlock the car or is the keyless entry disabled while the car is running?

What is the best bypass to use on this car, if I don't need lock/unlock?

Will the Factory key FOB still unlock the doors after it is running?

the only time they won't work is if the car is started with the key and you want to do pitstop mode, the car won't lock with the key it was started with.

That must be on the Pacifica only then. I just did (2) 2007 Calibers where the OEM keyless entry ( built into the key ) were disabled when under remote start or when vehicle is started with the key.

What would be the best bypass kit to use on this; I guess I won't need to do the door locks.

Anyone have a wiring diagram for this?

We use the ADS-TBSL-C2 for this vehicle. This will also bypass the multiplexed starter system without the use of extra relays. One module for the bypass and the starter interface.

Odd, I have not come across any Chrysler (not that I do a whole lot of them) that the factory remote stopped working when remote started. They all stop if started with the key but none under remote start. I will have to keep this in mind if I come across a Caliber.

The pacifica keyless doesnt drop out,  so you can use the 1 button or add to the factory keyless.  You can use the Idata link module ads-tbsl c2 it does the neg 2nd start and its a transponder bypass (www.idatalink.com) no need to loose a key in a 556u if thats what you are using , or mount a 556c  or wire up a relay for the neg start , you can also use autopage pats chrysler 04+ it does the same thing as the idata link piece.  I think the autopage is the same as the crimestopper version , and I think they are both made by forton (www.ifar.ca).

That is odd I also have not come across a chrysler, jeep or dodge that the keyless drops out.  I have done lots of calibers without seeing one where the keyless drops out, we use alot of dei 561t's at the dealers.  It is strange that you got one that did.  I will keep my eyes open if it happens to me.

if you really wanted to put the starter to your factory key fob you can wire up the activation input wire (if it exists on your r/s) to a lock/unlock wire. Then program the r/s to a 2 or 3 press activation... when you press your lock/unlock button 2/3 times it will activate the r/s. With this you only have the range that you get with your factory remote, but it does work.

I thought I read that the lock wire on this car is not a 12 volt signal its a lower voltage signal. I am leaning towards the 561T now posted_image

I just did a 05 Caravan and the keyless worked with the ignition. As well, I went back to that Caliber and confirmed that the keyless is disabled only when the key is all the way in the cylinder.
