Hi,  I recently bought a  2004 Infiniti G35x sedan and was provided with a standard key.  Recently while looking under the hood I saw a red and white sticker warning of a remote starter installed in vehicle.  I asked the dealer about it and they said it was aftermarket and they could not help me.

How do I find out what brand is installed to determine the remote I need for this car?   I am not a technical person so keep this in mind....

Thanks!!!

You should look for any and all serial numbers on the unit and first try to type them in and google it. Something might pop up and lead to the brand of the product. After that it's pretty easy to find the manufacturer's website and look for a product that looks like yours. I mean that is how I would start...

Your best bet would be to drop the panel under the dash and look for the remote start brain.  Many dealerships rip out remote starters so just because the sticker isn't there doesn't mean that the remote start is still functional.

I too would suggest taking a look under the dash panel to find the system. If you do find it, try pressing lock 3 times on the remote or door or lock/unlock/lock. The Nissan/Infiniti remotes work after the vehicle is running so a lock/lock system is pretty popular (at least around here) in those vehicles.

White sticker with red text is usually a DEI system. Try lock 2x or 3x. Maybe unlock too, but not common. If not it may need a seperate transmitter, or there is a problem with the system.
