I have a clifford rsx 3.5 and I purchased a new remote transmitter, I followed the instructions on the package and it does not work. I open the door, turn the key on, press the valet button, then press and hold it, but the led does nothing. I know the valet button works as I can put the alarm in valet mode but cannot program the new remote. Please help!!

did you press button 1 on the new remote twice while holding in the switch??

The led does not light, nor does the siren chirp, I have pressed the button twice with no results.

remote programming is locked?
bring it to an authorized DEI installer and ask them to unlock it for a small fee.
