I have a Viper 550 ESP alarm/remote start. I want to wire it so that my undercar lights turn on during the remote start process, but turns off when the key is in the ignition. I have an idea of how to do this, but I am not sure if it will work. I think I want to use the blue H3/1 status output wire from my alarm. Thank you for any help.

Yes use H3/1

Connect on relay as follows

Both 85 and 30 to neons power source positive
     86 to the H3/1 wire
87 to the postive feed to the neon

Good luck

that's a good idea, how about if you do this:
#85 to parking light's output from alarm (+)
#86 to the blue wire that is negative during remote start
#30 to 12 volt constant
#87 output 12v to your neon light's
this way the neon ligths will do the same ligth the parking ligths, flash.of course if you would like it to flash.

you can also program parking light output to remain constant throughout remote start
