i am installling a remote start on an 07 dodge 2500, i read that the wiring was the same as 06, and i am looking for a dark green and yellow starter wire, and i cannot find it. i found this "Starter yel/gry (not for remote start) + near battery, gray plug
Notes: There is no positive starter wire required for remote start. Just use the negative second starter wire." is this true, just use the second starter wire?

This is true, you do not need to grab that wire under the hood. You need to provide the PURPLE / brown mux wire with the proper resistances in the proper sequence to get the vehicle to start. You can do this by following this diagram or using a module. I have been using the PKU-CH2X from bypasskit.com. This module provides the Sentry bypass as well the MUX output for the PURPLE / brown wire. ------------- Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

when i remote start, the starter stays enables, even after vehicle starts, do i have a bad module?

i got that part figured out, forgot to put the resistor between the start and ground wire. now another problem. when i remote start the truck, all is perfect, but when i get in to turn the ignition over and tap the break, the starter grinds until i tap the break, what the?? is my module gone crazy?

well, you have to starter interrupt the mux wire with a relay. so if anyone ever has this problem, thats the trick. have the bypass module connected the mux car side during remote start(using the ground when running wire) with 87a being on the ignition side of the mux and 30 on the car side. 87 attached to mux wire on bypass module, 30 ground when running and 85 to 12v constant.

I got the 07 ram that I was working on last week back here today. Took out the xk532 and put ina chdl7pk2 thinking that might change things. I now get the truck cranking and firing immediately on pushing start. There should be a short delay here. Trucks starts and runs but shuts down on on "tach signal already present upon start". Must have something messed up again. Anyone have any ideas???

Everything now works as it should........ I missed the 1k resistor between the pink start and ground. My brain is now fried and time for sleep.

i did the same thing and my starter would not release

My starter released ok but the unit would fire immediately upon pushing start. No delay. So when the start sequence came, the truck was already running thus shutting everything down. Put the 1k in and everything worked as it was supposed to. Weird how two different 07's do different things when the same resistor is missed. I'm sure my next 07 will be down to an hour or so install time plus bench wire.
