Hi everyone!

I'm getting ready to install an Autopage RS-750 LCD alarm into my 2001 GMC Yukon.  I've been compiling info from various sources (mostly here), but still have a few questions:

1 - how can I preserve the progressive door unlocking function if the alarm only has 1 unlock output? (i.e I'd like to unlock the driver's door with 1 press on the unlock button and unlock all doors with 2 presses (within a few seconds).  The autopage alarm has one wire which can be programmed for factory disarm (- pulse for 1 second to before remote starting and upon remote unlocking) or to a 2nd unlock pulse for the passenger doors.  Unfortunately, both features can't be active at the same time since they use the same wire for output and the function has to be programmed for 1 or the other upon installation.  I'm assuming I'll need the factory disarm for remote starting since I have the factory alarm system.

2 - Is there something that I need to do to shut off the RAP after a failed remote start (or a timeout)?  The alarm does have a factory re-arm output which provides a ground after the remote start times out or is shut down.  If so, how exactly do I do this?

3 - Does anyone have an updated wiring diagram for the 2001 Chevy Tahoe / GMC Yukon?  I've found info for the 2001 Chevy Tahoe and 2000 Silverado here, but it seems to conflict with info from various other sources.  I'd like to find one more source just to verify that everything is correct.

Thanks so much for your help!

I'll take a try at your second question. Use your factory re-arm wire to ground the door pin switch. This will make the RAP think the door has been opened and cancel.

Hey Alvin,

To keep the drivers door priority you'll have to go to the wires that go to the motor in the drivers door and in your case it's a GRAY in the drivers kickpad.  It should show a positive signal when unlocking.  Cut the wire and test the doors.  All the doors should still work except the drivers.  If all the doors quit working in either direction then you have the wrong wire...keep looking.  This will require one relay to do a reversal system.

Connect your relay this way:

PIN 30 to GRAY motor wire going inside door

PIN 87a   to GRAY motor wire going to vehicles door lock relays

PINS 8687  to +12v fused

PIN 85  to  primary negative unlock signal from alarm

Then simply use the main unlock output from your alarm to control the drivers door and use an auxiliary channel for the rest (other doors are the white wire in brown plug of BCM, positive trigger).

If you need more detailed info let me know.  posted_image
