Put an autostart 1155TL on a 2004 serria diesel. I am using the factory remote horn honk to start the truck,  black wire . Problem is the truck only starts when I press the horn button and does not start when using the factory remote (horn does sound). Problem #2 when it does start using the horn button it only runs about 5 sec. then shuts off, it will do this three times . I have no engine light or security lights. Using a desighntech 20402 bypass, I am sure I have the resistance set correctly and have changed the YELLOW /GREEN from ign 2 to ign 1 but no change. Ign 1 and 2 are connected and have power when in start. Any thoughts?

I would set the unit to require 3 pulses for activating and grab the actuator lock leg to trigger. Press lock 3x and the system will activate. If the system only has a negative activation input you will have to use a relay to change the polarity to negative.

As far as your shut down issue is concerned, it sounds as if the RS does not know the truck is running. I would set the unit to voltage sensing and set the crank time up to 1.5-2 seconds. The 04 GM truck platform has factory anti-grind, and over crank protection built in.

I have not had much luck triggering from doorlocks on gm's, that is why I went to the neg horn wire much simpler but of course not in this case.  I have done a few other chevys without any problems using the horn wire and 2 pulses. Never had the veihicle stop running after about 5 seconds. I will try to set the crank time up and see what happens. Thanks
