To all Salesman for this remote start season:
If you guys are selling alarms of any kind or make. Can you please make sure you do one thing. Give as much 411 about the product to your customers as possible. Show them how to adjust the shock sensor if it's adjustable. Show them how how to read there remote manual. doodie. Tired of arguing to these customers on why their alarms didn't go off when there ride gets broken into. SALE the accesories as well. Someone buys an Alarm and a head unit. Make sure they know about a glass breakage sensor. If they have rims. Talk about a tilt sensor. If they drive a convertable, make sure you tell them about a motion sensor. SALE SALE SALE.
Sorry had to blow some steam.

I, being an installer, as well as salesman, I have a definate heads up. BUT.... the worst is a salesman thats never been on his knees under a dash EVER! When I was learning the business, as needed, I got the installer in on the delivery of the vehicle....... when it was possible. knowledge is key....and king! dswift, I feel your pain....

LOL, to be a good salesman they should at least do one install. This will solve a couple things. One, they will stop bugging the install or install manager on what time the vehicle is going to be done. Two, they can improvise the sistuation at hand on How to explain why its taking so long. Three they can charge more for harder cars. HAHA. Sometimes is just drives me crazy you know. But i just wanted to vent. heh. ------------- "dont ground out!"

Two words, "USER MANUAL."
I do NOT care if the customer read it or NOT, but I make sure I tell them to read it. It holds you less responsible bc what If you did NOT tell them enough info?

ROFL!!! Only in a perfect world.
How many times have you had this scenario?
Vehicle Owner: My remote start stopped working!
You: When was the last time you changed your battery in the remote?
Vehicle Owner: There is a battery in there?
------------- Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
