Anyone ever attempt this without modules.

DEI has no modules

The info I have received is the canbus wires have to be triggered in a certain sequence

any help would be great

as of this time it's not possible, the start command is data, no one has an interface.

I have looked into it, I guess the transponder communicates via RS232 and the ign via CAN.

accually, here's exactly what I found out.

here's the info I got from one of my tech guys

"2 CANbus networks + UART for immobilizer... Everything handshaking..."

and

"no one will have a bypass available for it, for quite awhile "

Shaughn, thanks for your comments, I've had to blow away half a doz installs on these (Mercedes Sprinters here) and I have been cursing them, panel with differential (front/back) locks, front back dome lights and Haz, 4 wires! In theory these can all be picked up as analogue under hood but where do you start?

thats what we were thinking that you can pull it off by going under the hood

But some of the info that we gathered some of the canbus ignition needs to be triggered in a particular sequence or all hell breaks loose

As I said before over here even the '05's were a problem withdifferential locking ex factory, locks all, unlocks front doors then another remote button to unlock rears, the relays were located under the drivers seat!
