Installing a Scytek Remote Start alarm.  I am able to get everything to work except for the doors to lock.  Doors will unlock with no problem.  Need help figuring out why this part of the door locks will not lock.. But will unlock.  Can you help.  Thanks in advance for all your help.

This vehicle, Shogun over here uses low current neg pulses, if you find the unlock wire, usually next to lock control wire, use a snap on test light with the croc clip to gound and touch it to the unlock. if his works check the output from the alarm. PS you might need a double pulse but it is unlikely.

I have the lock going to the black and red but I am not getting anything at all. The wiring diagram for this car calls for this wire, can you explain your theory in more detail so that I can attempt it, thank you for your help.

Test the vehicles lock wire with your meter..... without having the alarm connected. The blk/red should show ground when you turn the key in the door.

Does the lock switch work the locks?

Down dirty and will give you your answer:- This is not proper procedure but  I'm allowed to break the rules on account of my age. Take a snap-on incandescant bulb test light and place the coc clip on a known good gound (any under panel fixing bolt).  Throw lock stay in door, then probe sharp end into BLACK/ red. Should lock the door, repeat for (I think) BLACK/ blue to unlock. If this works the problem is with your alarm. If it doesn't the problem is with the car. N.B. I'll ask Gary's question again, does it lock with the key  from both front doors? If it has keyless entry doesn this work?

They door do unlock with the key and the switch. The wire on that connect is RED / black, on pin 12 in front of the fuse box. I double and tripled check, but that is the proper locations, have no problem admitting my wrong doings or ask stupid questions. thanks for everyones continued help.
