im installing an alarm/remote starter in a 99 explorer sport. the wiring info from this site says there is a courtesy light under the dash that im splicing off for the door trigger. there is no light under the dash! any idea what wire i can splice into for the door trigger?

Yes a light blue \ white wire in the kick panel or high above the kick panel. this wire will catch all doors and liftgate without a delay. also you will find a yellow \ black in kick panel connect your domelight wire from DEI alarm ( black\ white ) to activate pod lights and domelight when you lock and unlock. If you want to do priorty door locks all you need to do is run wires to the anti-theft unit at the left rear quarter panel there you will also find the door trigger wire. Good luck. Don't use the the positive door trigger it will set alarm upon remote starting. if you have any question sen me a message
