recently i've been having a problem with my alpine sec-8052 alarm system. the problem is neither remote will disarm the alarm. i've replaced the batteries in the remotes but still nothing. one odd thing, when i press and hold the tx/panic button the panic alarm goes off like it should. this alarm has worked great in my car for the past 3 years and i'd like to keep it. could the remotes need to be reprogramed for them to arm and disarm again? if so how do you do this?

It sounds like your alarm system is on valet mode. Press and hold the ext button on the remote control from 3 seconds and it will take the alarm out of valet mode.

Good luck.
