i was wondering how you can keep the factory exterior lighting in the gm vehicles when you use an aftermarket alrm .
what im trying to do is when you use the original keyless entry and unlock the doors from the oem keyfob the headlights and reverse lights turn on , now is there anyway to do this and tap into the keyless system in the vehicle?
please let me know
thanks

use the Fortin Gmsl2. That should let you keep all the perimeter settings. I think... Pretty sure it will though.

You could hook up a time delay relay to the 'unlock' output of the alarm and set it for 20 seconds or so.  Everytime you unlock the doors with the alarm remote the relay(s) will energize.

Wouldn't it be simpler to use the light output from the alarm, then relay etc to the rev lights and headlights?

Using the domelight supervision wire would be perfect for that.  When you unlock the door it should give a 30sec time output and turn on the lights just the way  you want it to.  When you press the lock wire it will cancel the feature.  Just make sure you diodle isolate them from each other.

any data module for locks will retain the oem exterior lighting actions.

XK01
ADS-DL
etc.
