Yes you can. The bypass will have a ground when running input and your AP900 will have a ground when running output. Do you have a particular bypass module in mind?

As long as the unit does what you want it to do you can use different brands intergrated together using the best of what certain companies produce. For example, best alarm brain module with best motion sensor manufacturer, the best relay manufacturer, and loudest siren made. It just depends on if you want to keep the products the same name or not. It is about the same thing in any electronic system.
Like computers internal components. If you build it from scratch and choose 3-d graphic cards for their speed and intensity of image, and sound cards based on what quality of audio and how many outputs you can have. Each like in car electronics, chosen for end results and reliability.
I have used DEI, Omega, Audiovox, Designtech and Avital alarm remote start products. I know if you know what wires go where and do what you can rewire things to do what you need. I have not used Designtech since about 1998.
------------- The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya
