Hey Guy maybe you can help me.

I am trying to install a command start PRO START CT-3260 on Jeep Wrangler 1992. It is a manual transmission, no power door/locks/windows/dome light.

I wired up everything except for green wire on the 6 pin plug. The green wire says - ((+) 5th Relay output (30 A) This high-current output can be used to power a second Ignition, Accessories or Crank wire.)

On the 5 pin plug I have everything wired up as per https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/alarmdetail/1233.html . I have Purple wire for the tach input going to the coil and hooked up to Yellow/Black again as per instructions.

Then I have 12 Pin Harness - on that one i have only parking brake wire installed. Not sure if there is anything else to be hooked up on that harness

Basically i can program the remote and i get feedback from it, I also I can go Into a Ready mode, I can start the car with the key, then pull the key out and it will stay running, then when i press 2nd button, engine will shut off. But i cannot start the car with the remote. What did I miss? I do not think car has any security to bypass, and the car starts without pressing clutch. There are #9 and #10 wires on 12 pin harness and I am not sure if they have to be connected, and where should they be connected.

Please Help.

Thanks

Dan

I believe you need a door pin input to the R/S.

If it were an astrostart you were installing....I would know for sure this is the problem.

A Compustar guy will chime in here Im sure.

Definitely the door pin needs to connect to the rs. After the key is removed, the car stays running. RS needs to sense the door is open then close again. After it press button 2 to shut down, then the ready mode is complete.

here's the thing

there is no door pin on the vehicle at all.

also right now as it stands I am bypassing my parking brake wire, I just ground it out to bypass. I cannot locate the wire for the brake. I just didn't see that wire, any idea where i should hook it up? the cheat sheet says its black with yellow line. But i did not see any black wires with yellow lines. I've seen some yellow with black line, and I tested it, but it wasn't it.

thanks

You gotta find a way to add one. Theres got to be some free space for a 90 degree hood pin. L shaped. Something on the body the goes to ground when the door is opened, and open when the door is open. Youll want to isolate this one stinckin wire with a diode to prevt any current from traveling to the door pin from the R/S.

what should i do about the parking brake wire?

I have one single wire comming off parking brake switch. When i had R/S connected to that wire it didn't give any feedback to R/S.  Then i disconnected R/S Parking brake wire from the brake switch and just grounded it out, after that i did get feedback to R/S. So is there another wire somewhere in Parking brake circuit that i should find?

As for the Door Pin, I think i should go and buy one, or can i just bypass that one to the ground also?

thanks

hey guys a little update.

I am still 110% lost and need some help. I've installed a door switch. It works, and also turns on the door lights. I hooked up negative side of the R/S door wire to it.

I am still not having any luck with parking brake. I've connected to the parking brake wire that is shown in the Wrangler diagram and still nothing.

Basically the same story, I can put the vehicle into ready mode when i ground out parking brake wire from R/S. then I push II button and it shuts down, but won't start back up.

This vehicle starts without pushing in clutch. Should I still bypass clutch?
