What's the chance I will need a dealership scanner in order to use the bypass with no key required?  I keep reading so far, that all the units may need a scan tool to reprogram.  What is this about?

The omega ib-umit-3.  There was another that I found that said the same thing.

It depends on what year the vehicle was made.  The instructions mentions which ones would most likely need a scan tool.  I did use one of those for a 2006 Galant and it worked flawlessly.....

I plan on doing an '05, shouldn't that be the same as the '06.  Have you ever run into the situation where you would need a dealer scantool?  I don't understand why.
