If you meant the remote, then turn the ignition on and off 5 times (between acc & on) with the car key within 7 seconds. the parking lights will flash once. press the lock button for 1/2 sec. parking lights  will flash once to confirm that the remote has been programmed.

If the main module lost the tach, then start the car and let the engine idle down. Press the tach learn button at the opposite side of the main harness of the module. the siren will chirp once to confirm that the tach has learned.

Thank you for the reply....

The steps you mentioned are right from the manual I have. I had the battery disconnected and now it won`t work. I have tried that procedure over and over and I get nothing. The place that installed it said it would take approx. 20 minutes to reprogram it. ???

Be Descriptive and Specific  Providing more information makes it easier for everyone else to help you. Like year, make and model of your vehicle, gas or diesel, auto or manual transmission, remote starter, alarm or rs/alarm. with or without power door locks. What exactly is the problem and why you think it needs to reprogram ?

1990 Pontiac Tempest, Gas, Automatic, remote starter, with power windows, locks and trunk release. Battery was disconnected. When starter, lock, hood release is pressed it does nothing. Light on key phobe light uip, but nothing beyond that. I had a simlilar problem before but I never disconnected the battery and they replaced the brain unit once. I was told by installer "did you disconnect battery" and I told them "yes" They told me to bring it in to be reprogramed and it would take apporx. 20 minutes, Any more details? I have to drive an hour out of town and might not even beable to get in to get it fixed.

I believed some of the nustart r/s had a history of defects. I will pm you some info, call the person in charge of warranty/tech support not the place you got it installed. You properly could get a replacement. If possible get a compustar but not nustart. They are identical but different brand name.
