New guy here-I just installed a Autopage rs900 in my 05 Duramax and was told I did not need a module for it. After doing some reading I found out otherwise. Obviously I did not hook my door locks up yet. The problem I'm having is when I remote start the engine cranks, starts momentarily and then shuts off, and the factory security light flashes. I assume this is a passlock problem, and was wondering if there was any way to fix the problem or if the module will fix it for me? Thanks

the module will fix it for you. And if I am not mistaking, you will also need a module for the doorlocks as they are data controlled. IF you use dei, you can pick up an older module (457gw) for pretty cheap, or the newer 1700G/G1/1701G for a little more. Either way, they are both easy to hookup.

I wouldn't do this truck without the "module"

Thanks Guys-I did not mention that the key does not have a chip in it-not sure if this makes any difference??

The code is set into the ignition , not the head of the key. Module required for the Passlock as well as door lock integration.

Trilogix GM-DLBP is my favorite for Passlock bypass and doorlocks.
