There are alarms with built in remote start modules that are MADE for manual transmission vehicles.   I am sure others here can give you make and model numbers.

If you like DEI products then its fairly straight forward.  If you would like the manual I may send it to you by email.  just pm me with your email address.

The 689m is used the same as the compustar alarms for manual trans cars. Basically you have to go thru a sequence of events to prep the car for r/s. Take key out of ignition, car stays running, put it in neutral, pull e brake, open door, then close door. Car now shuts off. Now it is prepped for r/s. You have to do this sequence every time you turn off your car.

im assuming you mean an 08' honda civic. you would also need something to interface the immobilizer system. DEI's 556U is ok and requires you to loose a key. you can also useone of their XK modules. i believe its XK04 or 05 ( i forget off the top of my head) but this allows you to keep both keys. give specific info on the vehicle for future so people dont have to guess
