I am going to install a Viper 791xv with remote start on this car. I went over the wiring and it shows the diagram on this site is different from bulldogsecurity. Which one is correct. Also in Hondas you could just use the defrost output to bypass the clutch. Would this also work on this car? This is what I got so far:

H1/2- +12v Constant WHITE at the ignition harness
H1/3- (+) Siren- Red Wire On Siren
H1/5- Chassis Ground- Bare Metal
H1/7- Trunk
H1/8- Door Trigger-Yellow Drivers Kick
H1/9- Dome Supervision connect to H1/8
H1/10- ?
H1/11- Park Light-Orange Steering Column

H3/1- Neutral safety wire or at least the parking brake
H3/2- Tach Wire-Blue
H3/3- WHITE/ Black- Brake Pedal Switch
H3/4- Hood Pin Switch
H3/5- optional rear defrost

Key Switch Interface
Purple- WHITE/ Black IGN (STARTER SIDE)
Green- WHITE/ BlackIGN (KEY SIDE)
(2) Red- 12v Constant
Orange- Yellow IGN
Pink- ?

H1/9- Dome Supervision connect to H1/8
the output has a low current output. what you should do is run that to a relay to power ur domelights.

i havent done a subaru, what u can do is test at the clutch to see if its negative or postive.

negative - 2 wires one shows ground, and other wire shows ground when clutch pressed to the floor. Wire a relay to switch neg when starting with remote ONLY

postive - 2 wires, one shows postive when key in ignition and other shows 12 when clutch pressed to floor. connect start wire directly to this wire (shows 12 when clutch pressed)

There is a neutral safety switch on the ECU, not sure of pin no, or colour, this wil alow you to use an auto only unit on a manual, we have 2.0litre engines here and getting to the coil or injector plugs is a nightmare as is dropping inst. panel to get to rev counter. Suggest an inductive sensor from DEI as a safe option  fixed to the alternator feed for the tach input.

PS 98's and earlier in UK didn't have multi-point locks, solenoid actuator in drivers door can be a pain, rear window channel has to be moved to slide  actuator behind it. Ignore that if you have keyless entry, 5 wire or relay interrupt in driver's kick panel
