intellistart timeout?

Just wondering if the Intellistart has some sort of timeout option. After installing it, it will work fine for a few hours. After a few hours, I'll hook it up to Cliffnet via laptop, and the "starter" icon is grayed out. I have checked both power lines and they both show 12V. The ground is secure. What would cause this?

The software is all glitched to hell, do as much as you can manually, then whatever you need Wiz for, e.g. crank time, then, LAST OF ALL manually set tach.
