Hello,
New here, but was reading other posts that seemed helpful so figured I would see if someone can help me out as well. Looking to install a Python 990 Security/Remote Start system in my 2007 Expedition. Trying to locate the wiring diagrams, or at least location and colors that I will be looking for to make this happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i think whats best for u is to purcahse the kit from idatalink that does locks and transponder/bypass system. heres wiring diagram https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~94350

that kit from idatalink will save u a few hours off ur install and no need to chop/splice many wires. i think 2 will do it. one for parking light and one is the data wire. Good luck

Thanks for the response. Looked at the idatalink and not certain that I want to go that route. Thanks for the information though. Thanks much for the link to get the wiring as well. Looks like it is time to go tear the car apart a bit and wire this thing in.

I guess I need a little more help with another diagram. I am trying to locate the VATS system and wires that I need to tap into for my bypass module. Any help would be greatly appreciated again. Thanks.

FYI....GM used VATS, Ford is PATS.
There will be a 4 pin plug (normally green) right at the key cylinder itself. One wire will test as ground, one will test as ignition, the other two are your data wires.

So who knows where exactly the PATS is located. I don't have a 4 wire plug leading into my ignition, or anywhere around the steering column. I have 2 plugs with about 8 wires each leading to the side away from the ignition and the a plug with 2 wires leading to the ignition area. I have unplugged the 2 wire plug and it doesn't seem to affect anything. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Well now I have to eat my words and say my apologies. As I asked for someone to tell me exactly where the PATS plug would be. It is in fact a 4 wire plug by the ignition. Now here is the key for EXACT location though. As you look up the steering column, prior to disassembling the housing, you will see a 2 wire plug on the ignition side, and several wires running up the other side. Within these bundles is the wiring for PATS. You have to completely remove the housing around the steering column. Once this is done, on the top side there is a black circular piece with a 4 plug wire for the PATS. Hope this helps some other folks out. And again...my apologies to those of you who said it was there, I just wasn't seeing it until it was completely opened.
