I got a 93 grand cheroke and my factory alarm is screwing up.  it won't start cuz the fuel pump and ignition don't turn on.  sometimes it does start others it doesn't.  i want to just bypass the factory alarm but when i disconnected the module it will start then shut right off.  if anyone knows how it fix this please let me know.  i really need my jeep back my other car is falling apart and i need reliable transportation.

thanks

anthony

I do not believe your factory alarm is causing these issues but:

In the driver's kick panel in a black plug look for a purple / YELLOW wire, this wire goes to ground when you turn the driver's key cylinder to the unlock position. If you ground this wire permanently it should keep the factory alarm from arming. I however do not know if it will do anything else to the vehicle, like keeping on the interior light or similar.
