I am having a strange issue with two units I installed. Both are RS1704TW2 remote starters.. One I have in my truck and another is for a customer..
Sometimes we can remote start / lock /unlock from incredible far while the very next time we have to be literally 10 feet away.. I have never seen this issue before (around 30 installs) so it's very puzzling to me.
I could see if it was just on my vehicle or just on his but it seems fishy for the same issue to be happening on two totally different vehicles.
Anyone have any ideas on what to check / what it could be?

could be the product. we had many issues with crimestopper 2 way paging units.

We moved to compustar pro . range issues, intermitently no response from vehicle, same with companion remote sometimes they would not unlock/lock or start nothing then a couple of minutes later it would work. Sometimes you could unplug the antenna and it would work again for a little bit.

Which CS units were giving you these problems? I'm wondering if it's just a specific model..
What are your rough costs for Compustar units?
I mainly install RS1704TW2's /EZ1704TW2's.. I get them for about $65 a piece which is a steal.. But they are on closeout so that price won't last..
On the one way side I install EZ55's and get those around $50ish.

1604's and 1704's. I am a compustar pro dealer therefore releasing my pricing via the internet would cost me a valued product line. Remember you get what you pay for, if its cheap theres a reason.
