Hi. I'm new in the alarm installation world.

I have just installed a Clifford Matrix rsx 3.5 in my 1990 240sx. I have searched numerous topics as well as the ones on this site and am having trouble getting my doors hooked up. I have the wires in site (ORANGE / black and ORANGE / blue) in the kick panel. I have the two wires for lock/unlock from the wire harness from the alarm module. I have read about hooking up relays as well as hooking the alarm wires directly to the car door wires in the kick panel. So I am having trouble understanding which I should do. Any help would be appreciated.

You can go directly to the wires without relays. Just be sure that you TEST the lock and unlock wire on the vehicle to verify they are the correct ones.

This is one of the three known systems Nissan used in early production. To operate, open(cut) the org/blk wire and the doors will lock, pulse the same wire to ground and the doors unlock. The other two systems are negative pulse (ORANGE / black for lock and ORANGE / blue for unlock both at the door lock timer in the passenger kick behind the ecm.) and non-centralized - add actuator in drivers door.

ok, i went straight to the wires for the door in the kick panel

Green wire to ORANGE / black

Blue wire to ORANGE / blue

For some reason, when i attach the blue wire, it unlocks. Then the door locks will not lock anymore until I take the wire off. Please advise.

have the doors unlocked and cut the ORANGE / black wire.  If the doors lock then its the one wire system that needs to have the ORANGE / black wire open when locking and the ORANGE / black wire closed that gets pulsed ground to unlock,  BTW, did you test the wires with a meter and saw if it gave you a reading??

You must test these wires before doing anything......there may be more that one ORANGE / black wire and more then one orange blue wire...use a meter.

i tested each wire and each give a reading when locked and unlocked. the ORANGE / black locks and the ORANGE / blue unlocks. So now only the blue wire from the alarm when touched to the respective wire will lock or unlock.
