For all that want to try the Nissan Rogue beware of this little problem. After the remote starter is installed and the vehicle started with it. You will not be able to turn the key switch after 45 seconds. I think this problem is also popping up in the new Maximas. If the vehicle is started with the remote and you get in within the 45 seconds turning the key is no problem. (keysense wire powered up) After that 45 sec the ign switch clicks and the key switch is locked again (thanks Nissan!) The only thing to do is stop the car with the remote or brake pedal and start it up with the key switch.

Key bypasses of current do not solve this issue according to DEI and Fortin anyway I don't know about Datalink but I doubt it.

Just a heads up for anyone interested

We had a similar issue on the Nissan Murano. There are 2 key sense wires on this vehicle one when you put the key in and one when its all the way in and you push the cylinder in....let me know if this helps at all.

Hi

Yes I tried that. The only thing I had success with is powering it before the the ign wire gets power. It does unlock it temporarily but, 45 seconds or so after the car is running on the RS it relocks. The locking device is on top of the steering column and it is driven by data. I've done Murano's before and have never come across this.
