I have a 03 Corolla and have been trying to install the cx-2300a Carvox remote start. I have finally gotten everything to work but the remote start feature. The alarm works fine with the locks, keysence, starter kill and the neutral sensor. When I try to remote start all I get is the cars lights flash and the horn beeps then nothing happens. No crank or sound comes from the car. The remote then beeps twice and thats it. All the lines are hooked up have checked them several times. Any ideas. Thanks

What have you done for the transponder in the car? These keys are coded keys. Try remote starting it with the key in the ignition. If that works, the problem is with the rf transponder in the key.

I have not hooked up the tach wire it said in the book that you could go tachless and the remote starter will save that setting.
And to the transponder the car does not come with that it has no chip in the key. I have tried to start the car with the key in the on position and the same thing happens. I had a commando auto start on the car before and it worked fine no problems and never hooked up the tach wire ether, but it went bad.

Do the ignitions turn on (dash lights, check engine light, etc) or just the parking lights? It kind of sounds like one of the shutdown wires might be shutting off the starter. Brake wire or hood?

When you go to remote start the parking lights are the only thing that blinks and the horn beeps once. Now the break peddle I think is working because the car locks when it is pushed after the you start the car but don't know if this is right. When you start the car and then put your foot on the break peddle and then release the peddle that locks lock.

Does anyone have any ideas on why this alarm will not remote start the car. I have tried to mess with it today and still nothing is turning on in the car. Not even the acc ie radio, clock, check engine light, nothing.

I have the same problem on a 2003 infiniti G35, what did you find to be the problem?

You may need to program the unit for Tachless mode. Can't seem to find a manual online for this particular brand so you may need to search for yourself if this is the case. Usually there is a jumper on the main control brain for the unit, or a programming setting in a feature menu somewhere. It definitely sounds like the unit does not have a reference for engine starting, either tach or voltage sense.

The system is supposed to auto sense tach or tachless mode. We tried to hook it up to the tach also with no luck. I talked to the guy that sold it and he said it should crank even with that problem. I've tried replacing the boxes also. the installers have tracked and double checked all the wires with no luck. I still have all the same symptoms as listed above.
