I saw a few similar posts about remote starting problems on these trucks. The alarm is a Clarion Ungo SR6000. I changed the jumper for the tach threshold and it learns the tach signal. I am using the light green wire for tach located in harness taped near parking brake. I also have a timed relay for the wait to start. Here is the problem. The truck will start on the first try about 50% of the time. Other times it will start on the second or third try.  I have tried to change it to voltage sensing and increase the crank time to max and it is not long enough. These trucks crank for a little over 2 seconds before starting. The alarm is basically a dei unit. The harness and manual are identical. Any suggestions on what I can do to get this to start everytime?

I've had this problem a ton of times on these trucks. The good news is you can set it to engine cranking and turn the time up. The starter engages until it starts and automatically shuts itself off.

I have tried turning up the time and it still is not enough time. I have to look at the manual again to see. I believe it was 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 etc. I will try one more time.

How about the wait to start.... ? Do the glow plugs heat up with the quickness?

How much of a delay is your unit set for. And.... after the truck is warm, how does it start then?

The delay is around ten seconds. On the coldest morning the wait to start light doesn't stay on that long. It is weird because you can remote start it first try, drive somewhere and try it a half hour later and it takes three tries.
