I got a 98 honda civic lx with power locks.  The locks work fine but after i installed my alarm the power lock switch on the door doesnt work anymore.  The alarm locks and unlocks the car fine but when i try to use the switch thats on the door it doesnt work.  When i pull out the power lock wire comming from the alarm the power lock switch on the door works just fine.  The alarm i installed was a Clifford 10.5x.  Could someone help me out with the problem.

Hooking up the aftermarket system should not keep the factory switches from working. How did you wire the 10.5x into the factory door locks?

Connected the wires to the GREEN / WHITE and GREEN/ orange wires.  Only thing i think might be the problem is that the car already had an alarm installed and so i used those same wires but the wires they used were not in the same location as the vehicle wiring chart.  Its the same color wires and works correctly so im guessing the wires i used are the correct wires.  Plus the previous alarm seemed to be done professionaly.

i had a few problems with civic and alarms. after installing the alarm , everything works well even keyless, but the factory door locks no longer work. Check the fuse box for the door lock fuse or door lock relay controls. I also need to mention, if u unplug ur alarm and the door locks still dont work from factory switch, its a fuse problem. To prevent it from happening again, place a diode between your alarm unlock wire to the factory door lock wire on car. that prevents positive feedback from ur unit to the wires which might pop ur lock fuses.
