I have a 562t installed in a 2002 Ranger. I have had it back to the installers twice. The first time he said it only had one power wire hooked up. Last time they said they could not find a problem other than the valet switch was not installed. I use the remote to start, the lights flash I hear the fuel pump but the starter will not crank. A few seconds later it starts the cycle again but will not start. I tried it after they worked on it and the remote start worked. Now a day later it don't. The led is also not installed as far as I can tell. The factory theft light in the dash does work. It flashes faster when I try to start if that means anything.

Find out what kind of bypass they used. Try and remote start the car with the key in the ignition don't turn it on just put the key in. If it starts then get them to either replace the bypass or reprogram it.

I had the shop look at it today. He said the key recognition box was the problem. the key was loose in the box. It works fine now, but it took a day or two before it failed. I did not get to see your post before I took it in. I will try the key next time. I thought I tried the key but I think I turned it to on.
Thanks.

You should get them to use a keyless bypass they make a few different ones. Bypasskit.com in particular makes one called and xk04. Very easy to install and most importantly it's keyless.
