Hello:

Before I get slammed, I'm letting everyone know i searched, and did not find any info on this.

Car Info:
2007 Mazdaspeed3 GT

Alarm-R\S Info:
Viper 5900

Key Bypass info:
XK04

Nitty Gritty:
Alright, so I have these 2 things, and I'm trying to figure out how the 2 connect to eachother. looking at the manual for the XK04 HERE, it says stuff about a D2D data to data. looking at the 5900, i do not see this D2D connection possible. therefore, i have to do the other setup. I do not know what the brown wire coming out of the XK04 connects to... and i am having trouble seeing how this works. (the instructions seem kind of vague...)

tell me if this is right:
some wire coming off the 5900 triggers the input on the XK04, to tell the car that there is a key present in the ignition. it does this by sending a signal to the TX line.

the other thing i'm having trouble understanding is do i find the TX, RX, and ignition wires going to the PATS module, and basically put a "T" in there going to the XK04, or do i actually snip this wire, and completely cut out one of the sections?

i'm sorry i sound like a noob, i am really not such a noob. i'm just not so sure about this one part. also, i'm sorry for writing a book, i just want to be complete, and i hope i get complete answers.

on a side note, the 689M standard module is not required for this car. there is a neutral wire coming off the ECU, it is orange and black.

the brown goes to a ground when running wire from your remote starter, and the rx and tx are tapped into the factory wires.

wait... the brown off the XK04 goes to a ground? isn't there an output wire on the 5900 that tells the XK04 to start the bypass? which wire is this that does this function? i am looking at install manual right now for the 5900, and i do not see a "ground when running" type of wire... maybe you are supposed to connect the blue "(-) 200mA Status Output" wire off the relay harness to the brown input wire on the XK04?

if that is the case (blue from 5900 to brown on XK04), are there any other wires to be connected between the 5900 and XK04? i suspect no.

also, if this is the case, do i have to tap into this blue wire to connect the brown one, or do i snip it out (disconnecting it from relay satellite) and then connect it?

again, sorry for all the questions, and THANK YOU A TON for the help!

yes the brown connects to the blue status output.... connect it to the 4 pin plug with the blue status wire or else to the blue/white second status output in the same harness as the brake & tach wires....
