I have a 2004 Honda Pilot EX-L and I installed a DEI Viper 5900 Alarm/Remote Starter. The alarm works fine, but when I remote start it the engine turns on and the radio turns on; however, the climate controls and heated seats don't turn on until I put the key in the ignition and turn it. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Thanks!

What do you have hooked up for your accessory wires? Audiovox shows BLACK / YELLOW for ignition Yellow for accy #1 WHITE/ Black accy#2. Do you have all of these hooked up?

You powered up the 2nd ACC instead of the 1st ACC. That's why the radio turns on instead of the HVAC.

That would make sense. 2nd accessory normally powers radio and wiper circuit in Honda and Toyota's that I have worked on. I just did a 2005 Honda CRV with the 2nd accessory that powered radio and wipers. I normally will test to see what gets powered up and what doesn't. You will need to change 2nd accessory to 1st accessory wire for heat to turn on.
You have to watch for some GM vehicles that have a third accessory that actually powers the transmission circuit and if it doesn't get turned on it will cause problems with improper shifting of transmission.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

Thanks, I think you're right! I'll give it a try this weekend and see if that fixes it, I think it will.

I appreciate your help!

That fixed it! I had hooked up the accessory wire to the car's 2nd accessory, rather than the primary accessory. Thanks!
