Hi Group:

I'm trying to install a Crimestopper two-way starter/alarm and am stumpped.  What is the real difference between Ignition, Ignition 2, and Ignition 3?  Do they all have +12 on them in start and run?

Thanks, Dick Pelland

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

Ignition wires need 12V DURING crank, ACC wires do not need 12V DURING crank.  If it says ignition, then use the ignition output of the Crimestopper.   Your remote start unit has 1 ignition output, 1 acc output, and one selectable output, it comes set as ignition, so your safe to use it as is.  (At least with the RS999FM).
