Hi Group:
I'm trying to install a Crimestopper two-way starter/alarm and am stumpped. What is the real difference between Ignition, Ignition 2, and Ignition 3? Do they all have +12 on them in start and run?
Thanks, Dick Pelland
they are mostly the same they show 12volts on start and run, but they power different circuit componente trought out the car ( fuel punp, PCM, BCM and so on)

Notes:
NOTE: This vehicle has the passlock II immobilizer system that, when adding a remote start, must be interfaced with. Use DEI part 555t or 555L. *1 ECM located driver side engine compartment, near the battery. White wire found in black plug labeled white. *2 Can also be found at relays in passenger kick panel or on keyless models at the keyless entry module behind the radio to the left. *3 Also found in driver kick in harness running to rear of vehicle.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.
Ignition wires need 12V DURING crank, ACC wires do not need 12V DURING crank. If it says ignition, then use the ignition output of the Crimestopper. Your remote start unit has 1 ignition output, 1 acc output, and one selectable output, it comes set as ignition, so your safe to use it as is. (At least with the RS999FM).
