does it have a remote starter installed? if it does they might have done a permanent bypass that is beginning to fail or is failing intermittently.  if not, you may need to get a new key cut.

or you can just do a permanent bypass on your own, if you do a search i believe there is a passlock 1 bypass diagram on here somewhere.

No remote starter but did have one on it and a new ignition put in as well.

Your vehicle uses a specific resistance on the 2 passkey wires to allow starting.
If the vehicle had a remote starter in it they would have used a bypass kit to duplicate that resistance. Most of the older bypass kits required you to cut one wire in half, one side going to the input of the bypass kit the other to the output. Another wire would be tapped into.
If someone removed the remote starter they may have either left the bypass kit or they may have restored the cut wire using a crimp connector.
If the resistance on that wire is higher than what it should, the system will fail intermittently.
I would find the passkey wires and check their condition, if the wires are broken or there is a crimp connector or a bypass left in there, I would restore the wires by soldering them.
I am not positive but the resistance wire should be yellow and the ground wire should be black or orange w/black stripe.
You can find them running with the ignition harness, some times they are in a plastic tube. THE YELLOW PLASTIC TUBE IS FOR THE AIRBAG _ DO NOT TOUCH THAT ONE!

The theft light is now on and stays but runs I seen the yellow white and black wire all by them selves. the did have a remote starter on but was remove due to remote starter messing and the company that took it off sodierd the ground wire and put a wire butt on the yellow wire. I have the chevy dealer putting it on a machine on monday and need the car intil then is there something I can do to have it start everytime intil then and to get it fixed?

Try this first. Turn the key to the run position (not start) and leave it on for 10 minutes. This will relearn the current resistance value to the passlock module. All cut wires should be soldered back together yes but relearning the R value should take care of it the way it sits.
