Subject: 95 Monte Carlo Light Switch

I am installing a starter on a 95 Monte Carlo. Everything is great except I cannot figure out how to get the damn light switch out. Seems as though I am doing something wrong. Is there another place I should get the parking light wire or could someone point me in the direction of learning how to get this switch out?? Thanks in advance for any and all help!

PARKING LIGHTS +|brown               |   |headlight switch *1

Notes:
*1 Also found low in the drivers kick panel.
