I had a Viper 790XV installed in my girlfriend's Escape and had multiple issues with the install, not to mention they scratched up her dash when installing the LED.

My problem is that when I remote start the factory alarm goes off, flahing lights and honking the horn. I asked the installer to connect the factory disarm wire, which he attempted and said would not work correctly. Can anyone tell me if there's anything I can do to avoid this? As of right now we have to remote start and immediately disarm and rearm the alarm to avoid the factory alarm. Is this something the dealer can deactivate permanently?

Also they hooked up her domelight supervision without any relays....should I be concerned of any issues here?

Thanks,
Chris

FCTRY ALRM DISARM|blue/lt green       |-  |DKP or 26 pin plug @ GEM *6

send a pulse to this wire with the Light Green \ Black of the Viper alarm as far as the domelight goes some car don't require a relay, but then again you can always ask the installer to double check.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.
