I currently have an Avital 4200 installed in my 1999 Chevrolet Silverado and I am looking to hook up the dome light supervision.  I just need to know what wire to tap into to do this and if it is Pos or Neg.  Thanks.

Is this a 99 old body style(classic) or a 99 up style truck?

You can use the drivers door pin wire.It is located in pin b4 in the bcm,or in the drivers side junction box, with the harness coming from the door.make sure you use a meter and verify. It is a negative trigger doorpin.

some units dont have an internal domelight supervision relay. Wire up a relay and jsut connect it to your door trigger pin

85 - constant 12v
86 - dome light supervision wire form alarm or RS
70 - high current ground
30 - Door pin wire

You do not need a relay. The door pin wires at the BCM are low current. You can connect your domelight supervision wire directly to the drivers tan doorpin wire.

Got it all wired up with a relay thanks guys, what fuse are you supposed to use I only had a 5 amp and I used it and it is working so I assume it is ok right?

You could have use a .2 amp fuse and you would have been fine. 5 amps will be fine. Its really only protecting the wire from burning if it shorts out. I am assuming you have it on the constant +12v wire. A relay wasn't even needed. Having it won't hurt.
