Hey Guys
Help me decide if this sounds like a good system
I have a 2004 chevy avalanche
I want to be able to activate the heated seats and rear defrost on remote start
Viper 571xvLink
GM-SL BypassLink
Also some sites list the the viper 571xv with only One LED 2-way Transceiver and others say One LED 2-way Transceiver and One 4-button Transmitter. Can anybody verify what comes with it?
Does this sound ok or would you rec. something else?
Thanks

First, ebay links do not work in this forum. Just reference the item number in future posts, makes it a little easier than pulling the item number out of a non working link. posted_image

The 571xv comes with both transmitters, one 2way and a 1way.

What you have listed will work in the way you describe. I have not done the GMSL but the other interfaces that I have used turn on the heated accessories only when the temperature is below 32F.

Thank for the info
Sorry about the Ebay link (It worked when I previewed the post)
Here's the item number 9714472925
I hope I can find a way to activate the seats and rear defroster reguardless of the temp.
And possibly install a summer/winter switch to deactivate them when it is warmer.

I'm not to familiar with that bypass but if you get the Idatalink one you can do it.

The information for the GM-SL bypass states that it will activate the heated accessories if the temp is below 0 degrees celcius. I am looking for a way to activate them even if the temp. is above that. Will the Idatalink one do that? Any ideas how to do it with the GM-SL?
Thanks

Yes theres a wire ( sliding door ) on the mod that you hook up to activate those options on remote start. All you would have to do is hook a switch inline to bypass it during the summer.

a note about the 571. older boxes only have one remote while the newer ones have two remotes. we got rid of our 571's a few weeks ago, they all only had one remote

OK I got the 571xv and the INT-SL Bypass. I am just going to let the bypass module do its thing and activate the heated seats and rear defrost below 32 degrees. Looking at the diagram for the INT-SL there is a negative door trigger output (Orange Wire)on it. Do I need to connect this to the remote start module if it is not an alarm? If so Where?
Thanks

Finished the installation and it even worksposted_image
The only problem I had was that I used the tach output from the Interface module (INT-SL)and it was unreliable (Sometimes would start/Sometimes not). Moved the tach to one of the ignition coils and it works great everytime. All in all it was a very easy installation (No relays, diodes,or resistors) My 2002 Dodge Caravan was much more involved than the 2004 Chevy Avalanche.Don't know if the rear defrost and heated seats are going to activate,I will have to wait until the temp is below freezing or maybe jumper the engine coolant temp sensor to fool the interface. One thing I noticed is that I lost the priority unlocking feature with the Viper remote (Still works with the factory remote).Does anyone know if the interface should do progressive unlocking? Maybe I need to redo the programming?

the viper unit should offer it, however if u used a data or module that does the all in one, that feature is no longer available. if u want driver priority unlock, you need to go straight to the actuator.

Something else I noticed by accident. The truck has the Driver1/Driver2 memory feature, I was sure that I would lose that with Viper keyless entry but if I hit unlock on the remote 1 time it goes to Driver1 settings 2 times it goes to Driver2 settings when the key is placed in the ignition. Does this sound right? I had no idea it would do thatposted_image.
The INT-SL interface has seperate driver 1/2 unlock outputs but I figured that it would only work with the factory remotes. How do it know? posted_image

OK It got cold enough to verify that the interface does activate the heated seats and rear defrost below
32 degrees F. The INT-SL is a great module.
Still can't figure out how it does Driver1/Driver2 memory with the aftermarket remote (see previous reply).
