Hello,

I would like to send 12 volts to my blower motor from a relay activated by my
remote starter, I have done this before on other vehicles, but this one I can't seem to find
the right wire. I have even tried sending power to the motor but it still goes through the
switch and resistor. Any Ideas?

Thanks Ron

These Ford vehicles are equipped with Heater/AC blower motors which draw large amounts of current. These vehicles are equipped with three Ignition 2 wires. Two of these are very thick (12 gauge). The other wire is a smaller 16 gauge. All of these wires are ‘hot’ (+12 volts) in the run position only. above.

  • Note:
  • Thin wire will be either Pink/Black or Gray / YELLOW
  • Thick wires will be either Gray / YELLOW or BLACK/ Lt. Green

Ah, I see what you want.  You want the fan to run full force, no matter what position the car's owner happens to leave the control set to.  Pretty cool.

I don't know Tempos that well, but I'd imagine you could easily see the blower motor under the hood.  Test to see which is the positive wire at the fan, and then try to find the same color wire back behind the dash.  Or, just run a wire out under the hood and directly to the blower.
